Straight Cremation

A straight cremation has no attendance or funeral service of any kind. After the arrangement paperwork has been completed, the cremation is carried out and the ashes are returned to the next of kin. This is suitable for people who prefer to organise their own private memorial or ceremony to scatter the ashes.

costs $70 and is required for estate reasons. Straight Cremation Funerals will help you complete the application then we apply for a death certificate on your behalf. The Registered Death Certificate comes from the Queensland Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages. It can take up to 4 to 8 weeks from the date of the funeral for the certificate to be processed.

Ashes

are delivered in the Cairns area free of charge, usually a couple of working days after the cremation date. For other areas within Queensland, we send the ashes via registered mail for $40 or to other Australian states and territories for a fee of $50.
